Implementing a flu shot line that’s time-saving and safe, with Vial^PRO

1.     One IV stand and one Vial^PRO per line attach Vial^PRO to the IV stand at the appropriate height for both of the healthcare workers that are working that line. (suggestion they should be relatively the same Heights so positioning Vial^Pro will only have to be set once or if necessary you can use two Vial^PRO to compensate for their height)

2.     Two health-care workers per line

Rotating turns twisting each vial into Vial^PRO then pulling dose and wiping patient’s arm and injecting into patient than immediately without recapping dispose of syringe. While one is changing their gloves the other will be injecting rotating positions continue the process throughout the immunization process. {Clockwork}

3.     This will ensure continuous movement of the line and safety.

The added benefit to this procedure is as follows preventing.

·       Increasing visual accuracy of the dosage

·       Repetitive motion injuries due to the large volumes of patients.

·       All equipment is at the appropriate height reducing the amount of bending and back injuries.

·       Reducing patient’s risk of accidentally being stuck with a dirty needle due to holding of the medication vial while withdrawing medication.  An accident without realizing it.

·       Everyone goes home safe.
